With composite bonding, it’s never been easier to improve the things you dislike about your teeth.
Simple smile solutions
Composite bonding is a way of improving cracks, chips and stains across individual or multiple teeth, using thin layers of composite tooth-coloured resins. These resins are bonded directly to give your smile a well-proportioned tooth-to-tooth ratio.
We can restore individual teeth with composite resins, or perform a smile makeover to address cosmetic flaws with multiple teeth. Using digital planning software, we can plan how best to make your smile appear in harmony with your other facial features.
We love using composite resins to create authentic results for patients, as they look and feel exactly like real tooth enamel.
Restore your smile in no time
Composite bonding is one of the most straightforward cosmetic dental treatments for enhancing your smile and improving its overall aesthetic integrity.
In just one appointment, a chipped, cracked or fractured tooth can be repaired to look naturally restored. There’s also no need to disturb any of your natural tooth structures to bond the composite resins to your teeth, making it a minimally invasive option.
What’s the difference between veneers and composite bonding?
This is a good question that our patients often ask us. Both veneers and composite bonding achieve the same things. However, veneers are a more involved treatment as some natural tooth structure has to be removed in order to place them. They are a more long-term solution though, lasting over 10 years whilst composite bonding lasts approximately 5-7 years.
We can take you through all the advantages of each treatment during your appointment so that you can decide which suits you best.
What does composite bonding involve?
Once we have had a chat with you about what you would like to improve about your teeth, we can start to apply a bonding agent to your tooth. The composite resins are then placed and sculpted into position, so that any cracks, chips or stains become a thing of the past. Small gaps can also be closed.
Once we are happy with the result, a UV light is used to give your tooth that beautiful shine and polish.
Is there any drilling involved?
One of the most advantageous aspects of cosmetic bonding is that there is no drilling involved, nor will we need to use an anaesthetic. This makes it one of the best treatment options for patients who might be anxious to opt for a more invasive alternative.
At Paddock Dental Centre we offer a wide range of routine and specialist dental care to ensure we can look after all your oral health and cosmetic requirements.
